God's Eternal Promise for You

"For I know the plans I have for you," declares the Lord, "plans to prosper you and not to harm you, plans to give you a hope and a future. Then you will call upon me and come and pray to me, and I will listen to you. You will seek me and find me when you seek me with all your heart. I will be found by you," declares the Lord, ~~Jeremiah 29:11-13

God's plan for you was in place before you were created. You were formed in your mother's womb with all of the colors, characteristics, and unique traits that delighted Him. He placed in you those special traits, skills, strengths and weaknesses that would be the perfect fit for that purpose and plan that He has for your life. In fact, when you were created in secret He said, "It is good."

You fit perfectly into that plan at the very moment of your conception and that has never changed. He was fully aware of how you would respond to each and every circumstance that you would face. You have never, ever, disappointed Him.

He designed you for His pleasure. He made no mistakes whatsoever. Whether or not you can comprehend just how that could possibly be, it is true, simply, because He is perfect. Therefore His work in creating you is also perfect.

"Your are God's own handiwork, His sonnet, His poem, created in Christ Jesus, born anew, that you may do those good works which God planned before hand, taking the paths which He prepared ahead of time, that you would walk in the good life which He prearranged and made ready for you to live."~~Eph:2:10 Amplified

The Greek text uses a word for "handiwork" in this Scripture, better translates as poem or sonnet.That is a wonderful description of God's thoughtfully and carefully constructed artistic endeavor, as He expressed part of Himself, when he designed you.

Once again, the One who who is perfect and does all things perfectly, surely, did not mess up on this art project. He cannot write bad poetry nor compose a lousy song. Good news! You are just exactly what He had in mind. You are precisely who you need to be, in order to do what He had in mind for you to do, from the beginning.

By the way! Did I mention that the Greek word used in this Jeremiah 29 Scripture for the"plan" that He has for you, is more like "the cunning innovation" that He has for you. It is uniquely you, using your strengths, weaknesses, talents, crazy, quirky ways, and even rough edges. Might I also add, He also uses your good days and your not so good days. You alone are the right person for the job.

Since He is the "Master of all of creation," you must be His masterpiece work. How could it be otherwise?

Perhaps, like me, you have not been able to figure out just exactly what that purpose is, that the Master had in mind. After all, it is some cunning innovation. So don't be too concerned. None of us can think as high as His thoughts are. He definitely has you covered. His word says so. That mysterious plan will enfold moment by moment, day by day, without striving on your part. You will certainly know in part. However, my best guess is you will know in full until you are with Him. You can have a great conversation with Him about it at that time, perhaps even a laugh or two.

"I am convinced and sure of this very thing, that He who began a good work in you will continue, right up to the day of His return, developing that good work, and perfecting it and bringing it to a full completion in you."~~Philippians 1:6 Amplified

"For it is God, who is effectually at work in you energizing and creating in you, the power and desire, both to do His good pleasure and satisfaction and delight."~~Philipians 2:3 Amplified
